Career2 min read

Nokia and KDU signed an MoU at KDU's Mobile Week, and we're the ones who'll be training the students.

KDU University College had its Mobile Week last week, 15 to 18 November. On one of the days Nokia and KDU signed a memorandum of understanding on stage, and the training part of it is us … Nerd Attack will be running mobile development and UI/UX training for KDU students, under Nokia.

We’ve done a few rounds of training for Nokia this year, in Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Ho Chi Minh City, and at MMU, and this one has an MoU behind it.

For us, training is also how we find people. You see who’s good while they’re still students, and we offer the good ones internships. We have two interns with us this year, and we need more hands … good help is hard to find.

The roll-up next to the stage was the Lumia 800, Nokia’s first Windows Phone. It was only announced at Nokia World in London at the end of October and it’s not in the shops here yet, but Nokia is already putting it in front of students.

We’re going the same way with our own apps. Sophie Cam and Juice both have Windows Phone versions in the works right now.
